So unlike 99.999% of UT’s students this weekend, I did not attend OU. I just didn’t get tickets in time and then, honestly, I don’t know, but I didn’t totally want to go, so I didn’t. HOWEVER! Do not think that that means I sat around and twiddled my thumbs all weekend. Instead, I ended up having a blast, specifically because my friends and I heard about this thing called the “Tour de Fat” (I know, what an awful name), but we went and it was incredible! So really randomly, this band that I absolutely LOVE was playing at Tour de Fat. There name is Sean Hayes, and seeing them live just made the day that much more incredible.
This is just an example of one of the very strange (and in this case, very small bikes) that Tour de Fat provided for people to try riding. Word to the wise: it's harder than you think!
At the end of the festival, they held a "funeral for the car," and encouraged all attendees to give up their cars for the next year. My friends and I weren't too keen on that, but the sentiment (and show of the whole thing) was enough.
