Post OU, Pre-Halloween…It’s A Great Time to Be A Longhorn
Hey what’s up everybody?
So OU Weekend was nothing less than epic and there are way too many hilarious stories that would take up too much time to tell here, some of which include; putting people through ceilings, getting out-wrestled by a girl, sleepwalking (not me), random jiu jitsu fights, awesome pranks, and OU sucking!
This past weekend one of the brothers, Javi, threw his annual Halloween party, Javi-Ween. It was great except for the fact that I lost my phone and now I’m way out of touch with everyone. I dressed up an escaped convict and I was wearing handcuffs the whole night which made things a little more challenging/fun. I have pictures on Facebook, feel free to add me if you wanna see them.
Now for my story of unbelievable procrastination and the trump card of all time. So I’m working on a project with two people in my educational psychology class, one of them a football player. It’s a 15 minute presentation and three separate 5 page papers that we have to finish. I didn’t even know about the 5 page papers til literally 12 hours before they were due and we met up at 8 the night before to begin and finish the presentation/papers. As soon as I get there, my partners get into an argument about racism and this seriously goes on for an hour and a half! It was quite unbelievable and somewhat humorous. About forty minutes into it, I send both of them a message asking if we can get back to work on the presentation… to no avail. After an hour and a half the girl is so mad she decides to kick both of us out of the group and do the entire project herself. Me and the other guy soon realize that if she kicks us out, we can explain to the teacher what happened and not have to finish it that night! Both greatly relieved, we head home exclaiming how screwed our other partner is, lol. I talked to my professor today and we now have an extra week to create our own project. If there’s anything to be learned from this experience, it’s this: If you’re running late for a huge project and don’t wanna stay up all night, anger one of your partners into doing it all themselves! jk, jk
In other news: Apparently the brothers are upset at how nice I’ve been to the pledges, gotta fix that. Halloween is this week and I think we all know how awesome Austin is that time of the year, I can’t wait. My parents visited for family weekend, that was fun. Also! I’m gonna be at Longhorn Saturday this weekend so I hope to see some of you there. For now, I have a paper to work on for my KIN 316 class, ttyall soon.
