I Am Thankful

Listening to: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

MDR,

I am thankful.

For family — the family I was born into, the family I have made for myself, the family I am a part of at UT.

For friends — old and new.

For the opportunity to get an education, to become what I want to become.

To live in a country where I am allowed to pursue my dreams.

For the men and women of our military, who protect us 365 days a year.

To have support and love, regardless what I’m going through.

For comfort through my religion.

For puppy kisses, hot pizza, fuzzy bedroom slippers, crayons, journals, black and white photographs, books to read, sparkly Christmas lights, chocolate, Law and Order reruns, scented candles, big two-and-a-half year old hugs, Dr. Seuss, and Thanksgiving Dinner.

This post is for all of the people in my life who make it worth living. My parents, K, the kids, friends in classes, professors who challenge and inspire, everyone at APS, Chrissy, Kim, Tom — my list is infinite. You all give me a purpose. You make me a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a student, a supporter. Through you, I define myself. Thank you.

Eight hours until the big game, I say HOOK EM! Five hours until dinner, I say I CAN’T WAIT!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Until Next Time,

Bobbi
