Lime Juice and Sunshine

I spent the last week on a cruise to Mexico with the fiance’s family! Oh yeah, it was fabulous! Plenty of time to sleep, read and get sunburned. I’m definitely one of the palest people I know, but I managed a bit of a suntan as well as a strange mark on my leg.

Funny story — my dermatologist said that this mark on my knee came from LIME JUICE!! Apparently, the acid in lime juice magnifies the sun’s rays, and makes a sunburn much more intense than a normal burn. So word to the wise — no limes while you are in the sun

My first cruise was fantastic, but it definitely took awhile for this desert girl to get used to living on a boat. This was also my first trip to Mexico! I highly suggest visiting the Puerto Vallerta area — gorgeous tropical landscape plus mountains!

Now back to reality as my first class is on Thursday…..
