(In the words of that Rolaids Guy): UT spells OPPORTUNITY

This past weekend I was lucky enough to go to TULW, the Texas Union Leadership Weekend retreat. I say lucky because there were many applicants, but only 30 were selected.

The Homeschooled Perspective

Listening to: The Garden — Mirah

When I stepped into my first class at UT, it had been six years since I’d been in a classroom. For that matter, it had been six years since I’d had any kind of formal education whatsoever.

Spring Break Pressure

So I am not bragging or anything, but I like to think I have a lot of friends. Olympic Fever!

I love the Olympics! Guess this is the Sport Management side of me coming out, but I love the competition, pageantry, nationalism, etc. I had a few professors at UT who worked for the Olympics in Sydney — how cool is that? Tonight, I’m so proud that my Austria won a gold medal!! Woo hoo!

When I studied abroad in Salzburg, many of my classmates and I went to the Torino Olympics. Collin and I saw Russia play Kazakhstan in the hockey preliminary event. AMAZING cultural experience to see these two groups of fans play in the same arena. A Letter to the Weather Gods

Dear Weather Gods:

So across the nation, everyone is dealing with one of the nation’s worse winter storms. Snow is covering almost the entire northeast and even creeping all the way down south. But one place that it has not reached is Austin.

It’s ok… I’m an architecture student…

This is a funny little thing us architecture students do all the time. I’m not sure if it’s just us or if it happens at every other school, but either way I think it’s hilarious. This is how the story goes:

My Somewhat-Exciting-And-Rather-Productive/Enjoyable Week

So this past week has been a rather productive one for me. I’ve been dieting since New Year’s day and I must say, it feels great. I’m about 5 weeks in and there has been a noticeable change in my body composition every week.
