Mi burrito sabanero
There was a gross oversight in my post from last week where I listed my favorite holiday music: mi burrito sabanero.
This song, and the red cassette it came on, are one of my earliest childhood memories. To be honest, I didn’t realize it was a Christmas song until the other day when the part of my brain not working on finals started to analyze the lyrics. It’s such a nostalgia trip for me that I actually can’t write about it, just become misty-eyed.
I’d love to hear if anyone else feels the same way about this song, or any other one from childhood.

Finally! All of the classwork is over and now it’s just time for three exams and I’m done with Fall 2010.
