UT Speech Does Dinner on the Lake

Every now and then, the UT Speech Team gets to do things together outside of preparing and participating in competitions. Last Friday, we had the distinct pleasure of being invited to a wonderful dinner on the lake by Mr. and Mrs. Carter, some huge supporters of the team. The Carters were both graduates of the business school here at UT, which not only makes me really proud to be a graduate of the same program, but also incredibly thankful for their generosity and kindness towards the team.

To say that the Carter family lives in a beautiful home is an understatement. Not many people live in a place with such a breathtaking view of Lake Austin, so the Carters inviting the entire UT Speech Team over for dinner is a really special thing. The food that they cooked for us was amazing! We had delicious fajitas and everything was so yummy.

But, I think pictures can show more than my words can say. Here are some photos from that night!

So, I just want to take the time to say thank you to the Carters for their hospitality and continued support. It means a lot to everyone on the team and is a reflection of the amazing alumni of this university. I am proud to say Hook ‘Em alongside the Carters and hope they know how appreciated they are!
