Do you hear what I hear?
It’s that special time of year again.
Any Audiophiles Out There?
If you listen to a lot of music on your computer, you should definitely check out Last.fm “scrobbling.” Basically you add a plugin to your media player and whenever you play a song, it sends that song’s information to a server, where they compile information about the music you listen to.
Thai Noodle House
As promised, I’m here with an update for one of the best places to eat near campus. Thai Noodle House, located behind Ming’s Cafe near Guadalupe and 27th street on the northeast side of campus. It’s nicely tucked away, with a modest sign near the side of the road pointing to the restaurant.
Early Voting
I voted on Friday. It’s kind of exciting that the year I’m eligible to vote is an election year. It’s one of the few responsibilities as a citizen of the United States. I mean even to the people who think your “vote doesn’t count,” it should still be your civil duty to go out and [...]
Night Market
Night markets (夜市) are like festivals in Taiwan. Except they happen every night. Amid the fun-filled activities and excellent food provided by the Taiwanese American Student Association, TASA’s annual night market had lots of entertaining performances.
Registration
Got up early today to go to freshmen advising for the spring semester. My advisor’s appointment times were way early in the morning, my scheduled appointment was from 8:30 – 9:00. I arrived exactly on the minute, but I ended up leaving at 8:36. Luckily I had planned out all the classes I wanted to [...]

The rain makes everything very complicated. Looking out of the McCombs Business Building, I anxiously wait for the rain to subside. Having been here all summer, I’ve only experienced Austin rain once. I didn’t bother packing an umbrella; I just walk through light drizzle. Luckily, I don’t have back-to-back classes today, I can wait a [...]
The woman in the moon
I get out on Fridays at 11. I usually spend the rest of my day catching up with friends at Kinsolving Dining Hall. This particular Friday evening, Chinese Student Association organized a Mid-Autumn Harvest Festival festival on campus. Like any other college activity, free food and drinks were advertised, along with a chance to win [...]
Late nights and early mornings
It’s currently 4:45 in the morning. I’ve just finished up programming for my intro to computer programming class. I started working around 11, and I finished around 3:30. I don’t have a printer in my room, and I went down my AIM buddy list. Out of the three people awake, only one has a printer.
