Why did you choose to attend The University of Texas at Austin?

I chose UT because of its well-known and top ranked College of Engineering. I did not want to leave Texas, but still wanted to be a few hundred miles from home. Therefore, I chose to attend the best college in Texas.

What do you want to do when you graduate from the university?

I first want to obtain my masterís degree in software engineering by the age of 25. I then want to work in the engineering field for about 15 years before I go into the field of teaching on the college level. A Ph.D. is a possibility for the future.

If you had to choose one thing about yourself to share with the universityís Web audience, what would it be?

There are so many opportunities here at UT, take advantage of them!

Who are your heroes?

My parents.

If you could travel to one spot anywhere in the world, where would you want to visit?

Paris, France.

What are your current favorite books? What books would you recommend to someone you just met?

The Bible.

What pushes your buttons? What are your pet peeves?

Disorganization, inconsistency, attitudes.

What are your favorite Web sites? Why?

• Facebook: To find old friends, communicate with current ones.
• Hotmail: I love getting e-mail.

What are your favorite foods?

Fish, shrimp, baked potatoes.

What music are you listening to?

Anything but country and hard rock.

What are your all-time favorite movies? Why?

• “Dirty Dancing”: I love the dancing.
• “Scary Movie 2″: The Wayans brothers are hilarious.
• “Love & Basketball”: I play basketball and have been in her situation. I cried three times during this movie!

Who are your favorite artists?

Don’t really have one.

What are your favorite academic subjects? What are you interested in studying in the future?

Math and programming. Not sure about the future.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

The NSBE/PI/SHPE office in ECJ (Engineering Building).

Where are your favorite places to go in Austin? What are your favorite things to do in Austin?

Alamo Drafthouse for movies and the Copa Bar to go salsa dancing.

What are your favorite free-time activities?

Salsa, basketball, volleyball, dancing (hip hop), reading, anything involving music.
