Sorry for the late respond but as I mentioned above it's great! It is definitely something you want to experience even if it's only a day visit.

I remember visiting the campus my senior year of high school and I couldn't wait to come back. The atmosphere is simply great!

There are def. other alternatives. Many people are choosing tea over coffee. I actually don't drink sodas very often neither do I pull all-nighters often. That is why the soft drink is a good choice for me.

You are also correct about Mountain Dew. I happen to know someone who stays up constantly and keeps a 2-liter around at all times. She happens to be a very small person so the fattening aspect doesn't concern her but the Mountain Dew definitely keeps her awake.

Once again this might not be the best solution but the idea is to try different things besides loading yourself up on sugar and energy drinks.

No one knows what they want to do at 21. If they do, they're probably wrong and it will probably change. Enjoy the indecisive excitement now while we have options and choices and lots of roads and lots of forks ahead of us. I'm more scared of the day when most of those decisions are over and I know exactly what's coming next.

You're too young to sound so cynical and tired - take a year off, ask your parents for an awesome graduation gift!! and live with passion - you obviously want to do a lot of things.

Hi Meredith,

Both the Middle Eastern Studies and Women's and Gender Studies programs here are great. WGS culls faculty from across campus whose interests are interdisciplinary, and it's growing rapidly. MES is also incredible, and there are a lot of students who use Arabic to fulfill their "Middle Eastern language" requirement. There's also Turkish, Farsi, and Hebrew, I believe. I just think this is a very well established program, with wonderful faculty and a lot of connections.

Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Sara
