Facts about your family:
I have a six-year-old brother, and more than 80 extended family members…just from my mother’s side of the family. We’ve lost count with my father’s.
Why did you choose to attend The University of Texas at Austin?
Besides being a practical, close-to-home option, UT also provided me with an honors program that made the campus seem more intimate, while offering an infinite amount of resources. The best of both worlds!
What do you want to do when you graduate from the university?
Attend medical school.
If you had to choose one thing about yourself to share with the university’s Web audience, what would it be?
I believe life is too short to take too seriously.
Who are your heroes?
If you could travel to one spot anywhere in the world, where would you want to visit?
Vietnam. I’d like to see my family’s background.
What are your current favorite books? What books would you recommend to someone you just met?
Anything by Dostoyevsky has a special place in my heart, and I especially love “Crime and Punishment.” Orwell’s “1984″ is always a favorite, along with most philosophy books (even some of the postmodernist ones).
What pushes your buttons? What are your pet peeves?
Bad sitcoms, alarm clocks, people who stand too close to me in line, nuts in brownies and awkward silences, among other things.
What are your favorite Web sites? Why?
I’m a Facebook junkie, and Yahoo! News is my home page.
What are your favorite foods?
ALL THINGS RELATED TO OR INVOLVING CHOCOLATE. I also love trying ethnic foods.
What music are you listening to?
I listen to everything from jazz and rock to hip hop and country.
What are your all-time favorite movies? Why?
“Fight Club” is my all-time favorite movie. It’s just grudge-beautiful. Also, because I am a huge fan of action flicks, “300,” “V for Vendetta” and “Live Free Die Hard” are definitely on my list of favorites.
What are your favorite academic subjects? What are you interested in studying in the future?
I LOVE English, but my career-passion lies in medicine.

Where ever my friends are.
Where are your favorite places to go in Austin? What are your favorite things to do in Austin?
I like to visit museums and see movies, but spending time in good company and great friends are what really counts.
What are your favorite free-time activities?
Reading, playing the piano, dancing, visiting friends and sleeping.
