Facts about your family:
My family is very large. I have 25 aunts and uncles combined. Even though my dad’s family is quite large, we are all very close and live within walking distance from one another. I have about 30 cousins under the age of 8.
Why did you choose to attend The University of Texas at Austin?
I chose UT because the architecture school was the 2nd best in the nation, and for the simple fact of getting away from home. The urban setting also made the choice a very simple one.
What do you want to do when you graduate from the university?
I plan on working toward my architecture license, which takes about 3 years of interning.
If you had to choose one thing about yourself to share with the university’s Web audience, what would it be?
I am an architect, DJ, dancer and student.
Who are your heroes?
My family. They’ve helped me so much throughout the years. The support I get from my immediate family and relatives is more than enough to motivate anyone.
If you could travel to one spot anywhere in the world, where would you want to visit?
Rome. Some of the best classical architecture in the world is in Rome and I hope to go there soon.
What are your current favorite books? What books would you recommend to someone you just met?
Honestly, I don’t read much. As a child I used to read “Goosebumps,” but that’s as far as my reading interests went.
What pushes your buttons? What are your pet peeves?
I don’t think there’s much that pushes my buttons, but smoking is definitely a pet peeve.
What are your favorite Web sites? Why?
Utexas.edu, I use it everyday.
What are your favorite foods?
Fajitas and pizza!
What music are you listening to?
That’s hard to say. I’m a DJ, so I listen to a variety of different genres and new tracks everyday.
What are your all-time favorite movies? Why?
“Latin Kings of Comedy” because I like to laugh, and “Saving Private Ryan” because I just thought it was a good movie.
Who are your favorite artists?
I don’t think I have favorite artists.
What are your favorite academic subjects? What are you interested in studying in the future?
Math and architecture. I definitely see myself continuing to work toward my architecture licensing.
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
Gregory Gym. I like to play basketball whenever I have free time.
Where are your favorite places to go in Austin? What are your favorite things to do in Austin?
I don’t think I’ve explored Austin as much as I should have. I don’t have a favorite place.
What are your favorite free-time activities?
During my free time I either play basketball or work on music. I tend to keep busy most of the time trying to better myself in different areas.
