Noël Busch is assistant professor in the university’s School of Social Work. Her professional interests include violence against women and children; social and public policy; social justice; international social work education, training and practice and adoption and child welfare issues.
One of Professor Busch’s current research projects, “A Health Survey of Texans: A Focus on Sexual Assault Experiences,” is the first statewide survey of sexual assault ever conducted in Texas. The survey shows that about 1.9 million adult Texans or 12.6 percent of Texans have been sexually assaulted at some time in their lifetime.
