Yueh-Lin (Lynn) Loo is assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Loo’s principal research interest is to understand how specific micro- and nanoscale structures are generated in electrically-active organic materials and how these structures in turn affect macroscopic properties and device performance.
With improved understanding on these materials, Dr. Loo and her research group hope to exploit their structure-property relationships in the development of organic and plastic electronics.
Last September, Dr. Loo was named to the 2004 list of the world’s 100 Top Young Innovators by Technology Review, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology magazine of innovation. Last year she also received a National Science Foundation Early Career Development Award to support her research in polymer microelectronics.
