Debra Lopez is clinical associate professor in the College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Lopez is course coordinator for “Case-Based Studies in Diabetes Management” and “Pharmacy-Based Immunization Elective.” She also guest lectures for numerous courses, including Patient Assessment, Over-the-Counter Products and Introduction to Pharmacology.
As clinical coordinator for the Austin/Temple/Waco region, she assists the regional director with the administration of the regional internship program, works to develop clinical practice sites, serves as a resource to student pharmacist-interns during the internship, and recruits and serves as a resource to practitioner-faculty (preceptors) and practice sites.
Dr. Lopez also works in a pharmacist-managed general pharmacy clinics at Blackstock Family Practice Academic Associates. As the residency director/preceptor, she provides a specialty residency in primary care and has a rotational site for Pharm.D. students. Dr. Lopez is also faculty at Blackstock Family Practice and teaches the family practice residents.
