Deborah Morrison is associate professor in the Department of Advertising. Her research and consultancy focuses on organizational creativity, creative product in corporate settings and how creativity matters in agencies and other organizations.
Professor Morrison leads Texas Creative, a creative scholarship and portfolio-building program, and teaches conceptual skills for copywriters and art directors. Her manifesto for the creative area is: great creative work can save the brand, save the industry, save the world.
Recently Professor Morrison received the Teaching Excellence Award of the College of Communication Foundation Advisory Council and the 2004-2005 William David Blunk Memorial Professorship for her outstanding record of undergraduate teaching.
