Sriram Vishwanath is assistant professor in the university’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a member of the Wireless Networking and Communications Group. His research interests include wireless systems, multi-user information theory, coding theory and bioinformatics.
His industry experience includes work at the National Semiconductor Corp. in California and at the Lucent Bell labs in New Jersey.
In 2005 Dr. Vishwanath won a National Science Foundation Early Career Development award and the IEEE Joint IT/Comsoc Best Paper Award.
