Pre-arrival: New students are charged a one-month insurance fee of $92 for pre-arrival coverage.
Fall 2009 coverage dates are July 24 – August 24, 2009; Spring 2009 coverage dates are: December 14, 2009 – January 14, 2010
*Premiums for spring and summer coverage are combined on the spring semester bill.

Coverage for Spouse and Children

Insurance benefits for spouse and children are not included in students tuition bill. Coverage must be purchased separately from United Healthcare Student Resources

Need health insurance for your spouse? For about $15 more, your spouse can get insurance and an ESL class!
Fall 2009 insurance for a spouse costs $1,255. As an F-2 or J-2 visa holder, your spouse can take an ESL class at the UT affiliate rate of $840, and qualify for the student insurance rate of $431 (totaling $1,271). This is a great opportunity for them to improve their English language skills and to make friends!
