International Students
There are approximately 4,500 international students representing over 115 countries enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin.
Advisors who are aware of the demands associated with studying and living in another country are available to assist international students and their families in matters related to their immigration status, employment, housing, health insurance, medical care, social security, income tax regulations, financial aid, and personal concerns.

Advising will continue to operate on a walk-in basis during the above advising times. Outside of the above listed advising hours student advisors will not be available. However, the ISSS front desk will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm to answer general questions and provide services for students who have been notified to come to ISSS to pick-up documents.
Peak advising periods: Advising services will have expanded hours during specific times of the year. These times include the days surrounding the first days of class each semester and the finals/end-of-semester period. Information about our expanded hours will be posted to our website and announced in our newsletter.
