The International Office of The University of Texas at Austin now offers the following services related to international travel:

Passports

The International Office Passport and ID services provides information and services to American citizens to obtain, replace or change a passport.

No need to wait for an appointment. We take walk-ins Monday-Friday 9-12 and 1-4!

To apply for a U.S. Passport you need the following documentation:
  1. A completed application
    Available in our office or at http://travel.state.gov/passport
  2. Original proof of citizenship (birth certificate or naturalization certificate)
  3. Valid state ID (driver license, ID card, U.S. passport)
  4. Two passport photos (we also provide photo services in our office)
  5. and the appropriate fees (please check our fee section for acceptable forms of payment.

The application fee has to be paid with a check or money order payable to the "U.S. Department of State."

The $25 execution fee for UT Austin can be paid with checks, money orders and debit or credit cards.

Passport Applications generally take 4 to 6 weeks to process, so please schedule accordingly.

Expedite services are available, additional fees do apply.

The International Student Identification Card (ISIC)


International Office Passport and ID services is also processing the only internationally accepted student ID card and proof of current status in existence.

Receive countless discounts to more than 33,000 locations in 103 countries, an  insurance plan, emergency help line and much more!  Insurance coverage plans are listed below.

Eligibility:

Full-time students age 12 & over currently enrolled for the academic year 2008-2009 at an accredited institution and matriculating towards a diploma or a degree. (Continuing education and language school students are not eligible).

International Youth Travel Card (IYTC)

The International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) offers non-students under the age of 26 access to special discounts and benefits at home and while traveling internationally.
It also includes international medical and travel insurance.  Insurance coverage plans are listed below.

Eligibility: At least 12 years of age, but under 26 years of age.

Proof of eligibility: Photocopy of a valid driver's license, birth certificate, or passport

The IYTC is valid for 1 year.

The International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC)

The International Teacher Identity Card (ITIC) offers special discounts, privileges and benefits at home and while traveling internationally to full-time teachers, professors, study abroad staff, and part-time teachers working within the study abroad office. It also provides international medical and travel insurance.  Insurance coverage plans are listed below. 

Eligibility: 

Must work at an accredited institution. Minimum 18 hours per week and must have a minimum of one year employment to qualify.

Proof of eligibility: 

The ITIC is valid for 1 year.

 

International ID Card Insurance Coverage

 All International ID cards (ISIC, ITIC, IYTC) provide 3 coverage plans of international medical and travel insurance and are available in our office.
