About the Position
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Information Security Analyst for the Information Security Office (ISO), which reports directly to the Vice President for Information Technology. Join forces with fellow security professionals on the 10-member ISO team to assure security of campus-wide IT resources and battle security threats at one of the largest higher education institutions in the nation.
You will be conducting reviews for both in-house and vendor-purchased software, uncovering exploits, and ensuring security compliance. A passion for penetration testing guided by a healthy dose of paranoia will serve you well in this position.
An appropriate salary will be set according to your qualifications.
Areas for which this position is responsible
- Conduct code reviews to validate compliance with application security design and standards.
- Conduct security testing of applications to verify compliance with university security standards.

About the Information Security Office
The ISO is a tightly knit team sharing a quirky sense of humor and an intense curiosity towards figuring out the mechanics of technology and transmission of data.
The mission of the ISO as required by state law, is to assure the security of the university's information technology resources and the existence of a safe computing environment in which the UT community can teach, learn, and conduct research. The ISO collaborates with campus IT leaders and university audit, compliance, and legal units to support the university's teaching, research, and public service missions.
