RESTORED: Blackberry outage for AT&T/Cingular users
Service Restored

At 4:41 p.m. on 02/02/09,  AT&T has restored the Austin Blackberry services.  They have synchronized properly.

An outage on AT&T’S data network is the cause of the Blackberry outage for AT&T subscribers. It is affecting other AT&T users as well (iPhones,etc)

At approximately 9:18 a.m. on 02/02/09, the Blackberries that use AT&T or Cingular may have an error displayed on them that says ‘Data Connection Refused’. Users may be experiencing dropped connections. This problem has been reported to the service manager and is being investigated.
