Remedy Production Client Crash Issues (RESTORED)
On 08/04/2009 at 7:30 The service has been restored and is functioning normally
At approximately 8:00 a.m. on July 31, 2009, the BMC Remedy User Client service was malfunctioning. The client crash issues continue to be a problem—using the desktop windows client, displaying an incident in the Incident form will still cause the client to crash. With some help from BMC, the problem has been narrowed down to some corrupted definition files, and hope to have it resolved soon, though we hesitate to give an ETA for the fix more specific than ‘sometime tomorrow’. The web client, available at http://help.its.utexas.edu, continues to function as intended.
On 07/31/2009 we’re still investigating the issue that we expected to fix after ASPIRIN’s lunch-time restart yesterday. We have issue when displaying an already-created incident in the main ‘Incident’ form, the BMC Remedy User client will crash to the desktop. We’re still investigating the issue as well as looking for work-arounds For the time being, try using the web client https://help.its.utexas.edu.This problem has been reported to the service manager and is being investigated.
