Data Center Network Emergency Maintenance
The University Data Center will be performing emergency maintenance in the data centers on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 5 to 6:30 a.m. This maintenance is necessary to apply important security patches to the infrastructure.
A number of services will not have access to the network for 5-10 minutes during this emergency maintenance. The major services that will have a downtime are UT Direct, ApplyTexas, the mainframe, SmartVoice, the IQ servers, and services that use fat cookie EID authentication.
We recognize there are important university functions occurring this weekend and have done our best to schedule this emergency maintenance to have the least impact on customers.
