RESTORED:UT Direct, other systems offline
Update (August 26 at 11:15 p.m.) The Data Center is fully operational with power and the UPS batteries are online.
Update (August 25 at 6 p.m.) On August 26, Data Center staff will be installing a new Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to fully restore service in the Data Center. Please see the related maintenance notice for complete details.
Update (3:00) All services have been restored as of 1:30 p.m. Staff will continue to fully restore all systems and to monitor the situation.
Update (12:25) UMBS service was restored at 12:22 p.m.
Update (11:55 a.m.) ITS is still working to restore UMBS, MySoft and IQ.
Update (10:25 a.m.) The mainframe, UT Direct and EID login have been restored. Other systems may still be affected.
Update (10:10 a.m.) Power has been restored in the Data Center and staff are bringing systems back online. UMBS (University Mailbox Service) has also been affected by this outage.
At approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009, a power outage in the Data Center affected the university’s Web portal, EID logins to many services, and other critical business systems. Information Technology Systems is working on restoring service as quickly as possible.
