IronPort Appliances Outage
AT 6:30 p.m. on 11/05/09 the maintenance for this service was complete & the service is functioning normally.
This maintenance has been extended and is taking longer than expected.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on November 5, 2009, ITS will be performing maintenance on six production IronPort appliances to the latest OS release. This is a scheduled outage as per the SLA for the Mail Filtering Service. All six units are in a fault-tolerant configuration, and I’ll be upgrading them one at a time. We have plenty of excess capacity to handle a short-term outage caused by a single unit going down for the upgrade. There will be no user-visible outage expected.
