As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/19/2016.

UPDATE: Campus Telephone Service Outage
Service Restored

As of 5:40 p.m., the telephone system has been fully restored.

As of 5:20 p.m., telephone calls are going through the system again, but the system is not considered to be fully restored.

ITS is working with Nortel to completely resolve the problems and will post additional updates as more information becomes available.
As of 4:30 p.m., the problems with the campus phone system remain unresolved. The problem is not limited to specific buildings or specific blocks of phone numbers.

Currently, there are approximately 6,500 phones out across campus. If your phone is affected, you will be able to dial, it will ring and the connection will be made, but the call recipient will not be able to hear you. If you are placing a call to a phone that is affected, you will be able to dial the number and the phone will ring several times, but the call will be disconnected. You will not be forwarded to voice mail.

The phone outage includes 95 emergency phones and 234 elevator phones. However, calls from these phones are being handled by the UT Police Department (UTPD) according to emergency protocols.

We began experiencing problems with the campus phone system at approximately 7 a.m. Some intra-campus calls are being affected.  ITS is working with Nortel to analyze the cause of the problem and will provide updates when they are available.
