RESOLVED: ftp.utexas.edu is down

After further review, the server wasn’t actually down it was just extremely slow in responding.  We found an out of control process and have reduced its priority.  The server is up and reachable.

ftp.utexas.edu encountered a hardware problem and is currently down.
We’re actively troubleshooting this.
