RESOLVED Outbound mainframe email problems in TEST and QUAL - update
Service Restored

Service has been restored.

Errors in TEST email sent thru EMN$INET & EMN$HTML have continued intermittently, on one of the two Javamail servers. I have just shut down the Javamail process on this server. The other server is adequate for the service. Will investigate the failing server tomorrow.

TEST:
Batched-up email (sent to EMN$MAIL): Flowing again since ~4:45 pm

QUAL:
Batched-up email (sent to EMN$MAIL): No deliveries since about 11:02 am, but this may not be a problem as no one seems to have sent anything (seeing empty datasets)

ITS Systems staff are seeing the following problems in delivery of email sent out from the mainframe through the following Natural modules:

In TEST:

“Real-time” email (sent to EMN$INET, EMN$HTML) :  Many (about 80 messages) email send failures since ~10:00 am.
Batched-up email (sent to EMN$MAIL): No deliveries since about 10:46 am

In QUAL:
Real-time email: No failures detected
Batched-up email (sent to EMN$MAIL): No deliveries since about 11:02 am

These failures are believed to be related to mainframe issues that have been seen since this morning. Staff are continuing to monitor the situation.
