RESOLVED: Oracle RAC emergency outage

Service Restored

All Central Oracle RAC environments have been restored and operating normally.


Central Oracle RAC production environment is now available.

Central Oracle RAC qual and test environments are in the process of restarting.


The root cause of errors starting the Oracle RAC cluster service appear to have been identified and Systems staff is in process of restarting the nodes.

Additional update will follow at 3:30PM or earlier depending on how fast the service restarts and barring any other unforeseen problems.


Work continues with the vendor on the Oracle RAC outage at Severity 1 - Site outage level.

Additional updates will be provided at 3.00PM or earlier if warranted.

Application impacted: UT Market, ID Photo, ERP (in Central RAC), Redhat Satellite


Central Oracle RAC remains unavailable.  Logs have been uploaded to the vendor for diagnostic analysis (in progress).  Additional updates will be provided at 2.00PM or earlier if warranted.

All Central RAC databases are down and we are working with the vendor to resolve the issue.
