RESOLVED: Potential Outbound Email Delays
Our anti-spam reputation is slowly improving.
Delivery may continue to be slow, depending on the destination’s anti-spam policies. Our anti-spam reputation continues to hover in the neutral range, neither bad nor good. This is probably due to the relatively little amount of genuine email sent over the holiday and today. The next update will be Monday (7/8) at 10:00 am.
An account on a departmental mail server was compromised and used to send a large volume of spam. This impacted the anti-spam reputation of our outbound IronPort mail appliances. Outbound mail may be delayed as destination mail servers throttle us. This primarily affects AEMS but some departmental email systems could be affected as well.
There is no action to take on our part because we cannot control our reputation. It will improve over the next several hours. The next update will be tomorrow at 11:00am.
