The University of Texas at Austin
As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

ITS Services Status

Service Restored

All AT&T nodes have been restored.

Update: 7/16/13 5:55PM

AT&T is having trouble with the campus DAS (distributed antenna system) after last night’s maintenance.  Five nodes are down and four nodes are at half capacity.  Our vendor Crown Castle is sending an RF engineer to Austin tomorrow PM to help AT&T resolve the issues.  This impacts AT&T wireless users only.

AT&T DAS maintenance work is complete.

AT&T is going to bring down their entire campus DAS (distributed antenna system) starting Monday 7/15 at 10pm until Tuesday 7/16 at 5am. While the work on the DAS is taking place the surrounding macros will still be on-air along with any indoor DAS. These macros are expected to fill in the campus with enough outdoor coverage to provide voice service so users would still be able to make calls (if a call can go through so will text messages).  AT&T users will experience a degradation in data speeds and indoor coverage until the maintenance work is complete. There will be no further updates unless there are problems.
