As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

ITS Services Status

RESOLVED:  XML Gateway University Wiki Service, Blackboard, and Footprints Down as of 10:45am
Service Restored

MySQL services on cat1 experienced an outage from about 10:45 am to 11:15 am which affected the following dependent services. At this time all affected services reported have been verified functional by the service owners:

Student Photo Roster
Document Repository (DocRepo)
Wikis and Jira (Clonfluence)

Systems staff believe they have identified root cause of the MySQL outage and will provide follow up communication with an explanation of what happened and what is being done to prevent it occurring in the future.

XML Gateway services were interrupted (probable cause was Cat 1 MySQL outage) around 10:45 am today.

As of 11:19 am, service calls through the Gateway appear to be functioning.

The Doc repo connection is responding again as of 11:22am

MySQL services on cat1 experienced an outage from about 1045 AM to 11:15 AM, services have been restored and cause is under investigation.

Emergency Broker Maintenance - Issues with document repository.

XML Gateway connections are timing out.

Student Photo Roster is currently down.

ITS Staff continues to investigate reports of these service outages.

The Helpdesk has just noted that Footprints, Blackboard, and the University Wiki Service have gone down as of 10:45am on 9/12/2013.

University Wiki Service is not responding, showing an error of:  “University Wiki Service is down for maintenance The University Wiki Service is temporarily unavailable.

Blackboard does not load any page or errors.

Footprints outputs the following error: “An error has occurred: Error 201. There has been a temporary database connectivity error. Please click the browser Back or Refresh button to continue. If the problem persists, please contact your Administrator.”

Systems staff is currently investigating.
