RESOLVED: Inbound mail backlog
The inbound flood that caused the backlog began to abate at 3:43, and was in full retreat 3:53. The backlog of undelivered mail was cleared out at 4:20. The situation has returned to normal. The mail delays caused by the backlog peaked at between 30 and 45 minutes.
Our inbound IronPort appliances are experiencing a significant backlog due to a large influx of mail beginning at 3:02pm this afternoon. ITS Systems staff are investigating to see if this flood can be halted. Until the flood is halted, there will be delays on inbound mail, including some but not all mail between Office 365 and on-premise Exchange.
