RESOLVED:Potential AEMS/Office 365 OS X attachment issues

As of Wed 12/11/13 1pm, Microsoft has reported that the issue with Mac clients unable to send attachment over 6mb has been completely resolved for the UT Austin site. If customers continue to experience problems, there may be different causes. Please report these problems to the ITS Help Desk http://www.utexas.edu/its/helpdesk.

Microsoft is continuing to work towards resolving an issue in which some customers using Mac Outlook or Entourage may be unable to send messages exceeding a size of 6 megabytes. An update to the latest build is being performed to remediate impact. Engineers have completed the deployment for over 90% of customers and expect to finish all deployment within the next 12-17 hours. The next update will be provided by December 11, 2013 at noon CST, or upon service restoration.


Microsoft continues to deploy the update to the affected environments. Their next update will be by 12/10/2013 7:00pm.

Microsoft has received reports that some Office 365 customers using Mac Outlook or Entourage (and ITS suspects Apple Mail may be included since it uses the same protocol) may be unable to send message exceeding 6 megabytes. Microsoft is performing an update to remediate the impact. Microsoft will provide further information at 6:30pm CST.
