As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/28/2016.

RESOLVED: Storage Issue
Service Restored

Update as of 4/9/2014 at 11:15am:

UDC staff and System staff are scheduling finial resolution to be done in the upcoming weeks.

Replacement of the Power Supply Unit on the storage array is complete.
UDC staff are working with ITS Systems staff to schedule replacement of affected power strips.

The power to the affected rack remains stable.  The impacted storage array is stable though running with reduced redundancy.  All known service impacts are resolved.
UDC staff are working with ITS Systems staff to schedule replacement of affected power strips.  ITS Systems staff are working with the storage array vendor to schedule replacement of a Power Supply Unit.
ITS Systems and UDC staff will continue to monitor the environment this evening.

UDC staff have stabilized power in the affected rack. The impacted storage array is running with reduced redundancy. SmartVoice is restored as of 6:10pm.

UDC staff is investigating power issues. The impacted array is running with reduced redundancy. Affected VM owners have been notified.

The HelpDesk has received reports of users being unable to access SmartVoice around 5:45 PM. Users cannot access their mailboxes by phone, online, or using the FirstClass application. UTVM is unaffected.

SmartVoice core and Internet Services run on VMs that are affected by the Storage Array Failure.

As of 5:36 pm Storage Array Failure, impact is VM Storage Units (VMSU) for unknown quantity of VM. Storage for VM backups.

ITS support personnel are on site and are engaged in the issue.

As of 4:43pm reduced redundancy for ITS storage array and FC fabric devices.
No indications of impacted services at this point.
