RESOLVED:Office 365 Exchange Online Service degradation

This issue is resolved. We anticipate a Post Incident Report from Microsoft in the near term. Please contact the ITS Help Desk for any remaining issues related to the Office 365 Issue.


At 19:15 on Tues 24 Jun, Microsoft re-stated that the outage has been resolved.  They are working to clear the backlog of emails which they estimate will take several hours. End users will experience increased email traffic as these backlogs clear out.  This incident will remain under investigation.
The next scheduled update will occur at 9:00am Wed 25 Jun.

The most recent update from Microsoft is that they are still working to resolve the issue. An estimated time for full resolution has not been provided.  Some email traffic has begun to flow, but there is a considerable backlog of email that will process as the problem is resolved.

Campus users of Office 365 currently experiencing a widespread outage. Users are experiencing an impact with regards to incoming/outgoing email or Office 365 functions. We have escalated this issues to the highest level within Microsoft for resolution.
