ITS Services Status

UPDATED: Online Calendar Application Unavailable
Service Restored

Service has been restored for all ITS rooms and equipment. Other departments that had been using this system prior to January 25 will be contacted individually by an ITS representative in the next couple of weeks to help implement the solution in their environments.

ITS has developed a new solution to enhance the Exchange Resource Scheduler (ExRS) with a more flexible application framework and is working to bring it into production. We expect to release an improved version of ExRS by Monday, May 5.

ITS has discovered that resolving the issue with the Exchange Resource Scheduler (ExRS) will take a dedicated development resource. The dedicated resource has been allocated, and the issue and solution are under investigation.

Currently, any calendars accessed through this system show as blank even though events are being scheduled. Access through Outlook, Entourage and Outlook Web Access (OWA) is functioning normally. ITS recommends using one of these alternate access methods as a workaround.

On Friday, January 25, 2008, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the Exchange Resource Scheduler (ExRS) became unavailable. This application allows anonymous read access to various Austin (AEMS) resource calendars around campus, such as rooms and equipment.
