As part of the Web Central Services Retirement project, the ITS website will be retired. Information about IT services will be replaced by two new sites, IT@UT and UT ServiceNow, and ITS departmental information will be migrated to a new location. All changes will be completed by 7/19/2016.

RESOLVED: Roadrunner Delays
Service Restored

On Friday, April 4, 2008, as of 6:24 p.m., Time Warner corrected the problem.

As of Friday, April 4, 2008, Roadrunner customers are still experiencing delays. Generally, users experience a 20-40 second delay when establishing a connection. The specific impact of the delay varies depending on the action the user is taking; for example, accessing Web sites and accessing e-mail might exhibit different symptoms.

ITS recognizes the broad impact of this issue for the campus and is working with Time Warner to correct it as quickly as possible.

On Thursday, April 3, 2008, technicians from ITS Networking, the UT System Office of Telecommunication Services (OTS), and Digital Online Services in the Time Warner Cable Austin Division identified a problem that causes some Roadrunner customers to experience slow connections to some Internet services provided by the university. The problem is currently under investigation. Updates will be provided when they become available.
