4:24 PM - RESOLVED: UTmail: Account Management Tools Experiencing Issues
Service RestoredThis appears to be an isolated incident involving a small subset of users. Testing has concluded that the tools are functioning normally for the majority of users.
The Help Desk has been notified of the users affected and Systems is requesting support from the vendor.
This issue is resolved outside of these users. Please continue to contact the ITS Help Desk if you are experiencing issues with UTmail.
The Help Desk is getting reports of users getting errors when attempting to change their UTmail password. The most common error is “Oops, is not found in Google Apps. Please contact the ITS helpdesk.” This error, or others, may also appear when changing your Display Name or renaming your UTmail account via these tools.
Users that cannot access their UTmail accounts can call the ITS Help Desk, who can manually reset their passwords after identity verification.
The Systems team is aware of the issue and is investigating.

Service RestoredPrimary Stache service has been restored.
Stache is currently in backup mode and the ISO is investigating. Users will not be able to save changes for settings and stached items. Recently saved changes may also not be available.

4:48 PM - UTBackup Application issue
Under InvestigationITS Staff determined a small number of customers are using Archive Encryption setting “448-bit encryption with custom 448-bit key” and may experience authentication issues. Until further notice UTBackup customers should not enable this setting. Our investigation continues and updates will be provided as they develop.
UTBackup authentication and connections from the desktop application are unavailable to some customers. This applies only to individuals who enabled private encryption key option “448-bit encryption with custom 448-bit key” in their application’s security settings. Customers impacted by this condition are unable to log into the desktop application and all backups for affected devices have stopped.
