Emergency Disruptive Maintenance - SharePoint 2007 Search Service
Unplanned Maintenance

SharePoint 2007 production service will undergo emergency maintenance this evening (Wednesday, 12/17/14).  Outage window is scheduled from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM.  Security settings will be changed on a SharePoint 2007 server.  Only the Search function will experience intermittent outages. 

Note:  Access to SharePoint 2007 sites and associated content are unaffected by the maintenance.

The servers and software associated with www.utexas.edu, custom websites hosted on Web Central, and Web publishing on UNIX (UTS, uts.cc.utexas.edu) will undergo planned maintenance. During this period there may be brief interruptions in access to Web pages and UTS services as maintenance is performed.

UT Voice Mail Access Errors
Under Investigation

Some subscribers have also reported their callers being forwarded to UTVM and hearing the “the page you have requested is currently unavailable” error instead of the greeting.  All errors continue to be sporadic and the vendor is continuing to investigate.

The UT Voice Mail system is sporadically responding to telephone logins and/or commands with the error, “This page is unavailable,” and to web logins and/or navigation with the error “Connection reset.”  Subsequent attempts are usually successful, so subscribers can repeat their attempted commands.  The vendor is investigating.  Note:  SmartVoice users are not affected.
