jEdit/DMG plugin update: Work continues but resolution is not imminent.  We will update the list at 1:00 PM tomorrow, Thursday 8/21, or earlier if we have more information.

Systems staff have determined the root cause of this issue and are actively pursuing resolution via development efforts.

Developers can still upload webAgent scripts via the DMG web interface.

jEdit/DMG plugin update: Systems staff continue to work on the jEdit plugin issue and are in contact with external groups who have useful expertise.  We will update the list again tomorrow morning, Wednesday 8/20, at 10:00 AM or earlier if we have more information.

jEdit/DMG plugin update: Systems staff continue to work on the jEdit plugin issue and are in contact with external groups who have useful expertise.  We will update the list again at 4:00 PM or earlier if we have more information.

Again, developers can still upload webAgent scripts via the DMG web interface, so there has been a fully functional workaround available throughout.

jEdit/DMG plugin update: The problem is at a much lower level than anticipated and will take serious analysis and perhaps development work for final remediation.  Please continue to use the web interface for uploads, and stewards will update the list again at 12:00 PM.

Despite thorough testing, we have discovered an issue with the jEdit plugin for DMG this morning.

The workaround for webagent development is to use the DMG web interface (https://dpdev1.dp.utexas.edu/cgi-bin/dmg/index.cgi) to upload your webAgent scripts from your desktop.

Systems staff are investigating the issue and will send another message at 9:30 to update status.

RESOLVED:  Group Email Service Operating at Degraded State
Service Restored

Group Email is now operational with full capability.

We have narrowed the scope of group email delivery problem to Office 365 recipients. ITS Systems staff have open a ticket with the vendor to troubleshoot this issue. We will update again as we receive information or resolution from the vendor. ITS Applications staff will continue to monitor the Group Email service closely.

We are putting in place a work around at this time. Users of Group Email Service has been notified of the work around. Group Email Service is still operating at a degraded state.
ITS Applications and ITS Systems staff are still investigating.  Next update will be Wed 13 Aug at 10 am.


The University Group Email service is currently functioning, but at degraded state. Some emails are being sent but not delivered to Office 365 users.

RESOLVED:  Core Network Outage- Tuesday 8/19
Service Restored

On Tuesday, August 19, between 5:06pm and 5:09pm, there was a configuration error made on one of the core routers that affected some traffic traversing the core. Customers at affected sites may have experienced a loss of network connectivity for some sites/services.

This error was corrected by 5:09pm.


Monitors alerted a network interruption between 17:06 and 17:09 for some services on campus during a change.  Staff are investigating the alerts, and will provide an update when more is known.
