- RESTORED:UTBackup Web Console Issue
Emergency Maintenance completed successfully. Web console access is restored.
The UTBackup service will undergo a 20-30 minute emergency outage in approximately 30 minutes (at roughly 10:30am start time).
This is vendor work to resolve the console access issue detailed yesterday. Backups and restorations will be halted temporarily during this process but will resume upon work completion.
UPDATE: Access to the web-based administration console will likely remain slow until tomorrow morning (12/18/13) when a hardware-centric maintenance task is expected to complete. Backups and restores from the client software should remain unaffected.
Access to the UTBackup web console is currently experiencing issues across browsers. The vendor is aware of the issue and is looking into it.
- RESOLVED:Blackboard courses disabled
All spring 2014 courses and enrollments should now be available.
Systems staff have found that this morning’s maintenance is not the cause of some 3000 Spring 2014 course disables this morning—it looks like the file we get from the Registrar may be damaged.
Once the current job finishes, we’re going to load yesterday’s file to recover these course sites.
Blackboard maintenance this morning disrupted the course load, resulting in several Spring 2014 courses being disabled in Blackboard. Nothing has been lost; we just need to re-run the course load to re-enable them. This will be done soon.
