The information you provide in the form is the only information the nominating committee receives about the nominee, so it is important to be specific..

Oversight

Originally established by a group of ITS employees and endorsed by ITS Human Resources and senior management, the ITS CAST Award is overseen by ITS Human Resources.

Timeline

The award is currently presented twice a year, at the annual ITS picnic and at the holiday party. Nominations can be made using the Web form at any time during the year. Approximately six weeks prior to the award presentation, ITS staff receive reminders to make nominations. Nominations close three weeks before the event. Nominations are sent to the ITS CAST Award mailbox that is maintained by a member of the ITS HR unit. That person verifies the eligibility of the employee. Two to three weeks before the awards are handed out, this person calls together the Selection Committee to consider all the nominations. The committee meets in private each semester to review nominations. Part of the review process includes contacting the nominee's immediate supervisor to confirm the nominee's qualifications.
