Contract Printing Services

Overview

ITS can provide printers and supplies for departments. ITS provides a black-and-white or color laser printer, supplies, and maintenance, and the department provides a secure printer location, connection to UTnet, and an operator.

The department must guarantee a minimum output of 18,200 pages per year per printer (2,500 for a color printer), and the physical security of the machine and supplies. Printer replacement is only for the printer's normal lifecycle, not for theft or abuse.

ITS will attach the printer to the campus network and will keep its name and location in the configuration tables for campus-wide printing services, making the printer available to machines connected to UTnet. ITS recovers its costs through user-paid printing costs.

  • ITS provides a black-and-white or color laser printer, paper supplies, toner cartridges, equipment maintenance, and replacement parts or printer replacement
  • Departments must provide a secure location for the printer, an Ethernet connection to UTnet, and a printer operator
  • Printers can have encryption translation capability if desired

Cost

Contract printing services are available at no cost to the department providing the printing minimums are met. Individuals pay for their printouts using BevoBucks or ITS Prepaid Accounts.
