SSL Certificates
An SSL certificate enables encryption of sensitive information during online transactions. You need one if you:
- Offer a login or sign in on your site, including all CMSs
- Process sensitive data such as address, birth date, license, or ID numbers
- Need to comply with privacy and security requirements
ITS will order and install SSL Certificates for hosted sites. If you require an SSL Certificate for another server, please contact your Technical Support Contact (TSC) or contact the Information Security Office.
