Sending Messages with UT Direct Notifications

Can I send attachments with my notification?

No, the notification system does not support attachments. You can include a link in your notification to a Web page that contains more information for the recipient or you can send attachments through Secure Messaging.

Can I send my notification using HTML or rich text formatting?

No, your notification needs to be composed using plain text. You may, however, include a URL in the link URL field of the submission form.

I just sent a notification. What happens next?

All information submitted is checked whether the information for the notification message is filled out correctly and whether the identity of each recipient can be verified. Thorough checks are made so that only the intended recipients receive sensitive information in their Message Center.

If the message passes all the checks, it will appear in recipients' Message Centers whose identification is valid. Invalid recipient information will be sent via e-mail to the submitter.
