Overview
The Computer Drop-off Service, located in the Flawn Academic Center (FAC) Lobby, is a convenient way for customers to have their software reinstalled on their personally owned computers. The Help Desk recommends that people whose computers are slow "rebuild" their machines—this service will do it for you. Rebuilding is also strongly recommended if your computer has been infected with a virus or other malicious code, or if your port has been shut off. Your computer will be returned to you with the latest patches, plus the security software offered in BevoWare. Installation of other software that you own is also available for an additional fee.
The ITS Help Desk reformats and installs a new desktop operating system (OS) and Microsoft Office software. Customers must provide media for all software to be installed. OS and Microsoft Office software are available at the Campus Computer Store for students, faculty and staff.
