FAC Computer Labs
Overview
Use of the FAC computer labs is open to all students, faculty, and staff at The University of Texas at Austin. Computers are accessed with your UT EID. The service is provided at no additional cost. In order to print in this facility, you must have a prepaid account such as Bevo Bucks. See the UTprint Service pages for instructions on printing in the labs.
The University Acceptable Use Policy should be adhered to while using the lab.
Saving in the Lab
Data may not be saved to lab computers. Please save your files on a removable hard drive, thumb drive, or upload them to a cloud storage site (i.e. WebSpace).

Student Microcomputing Facility (SMF)
The Student Microcomputing Facility (SMF) is open to all university students, faculty, and staff. The lab is located in the Flawn Academic Center on the second floor in room 212.
Area 101 General Reading Area
This space provides a comfortable, convenient area for both collaborative and individual studying.
Equal Access to Computers
All stations are equipped with screen magnifiers and text narrators. Please ask the front desk proctors for assistance.
Adaptive hardware and software for the visually impaired are located at the PCL. Please ask the A/V reference desk for further information.

Cost
The FAC Computer Labs are available at no cost to students, faculty and staff.
