Accounts for Individuals

Getting a Personal Account

Note: The information below applies only to personal accounts. If your department is paying for your ITS services, refer to Departmental Accounts.

To use ITS services such as printing and computing or disk storage on ITS timesharing systems, you must have a prepaid account to pay for them. The type of prepaid account you need depends on whether you are a student, faculty member, staff member, or retiree.

Students

To get your personal account and set it up to pay for any ITS services you might need:

  1. Join Bevo Bucks (UT EID logon required).

  2. Add funds to your Bevo Bucks account if needed, then pay for your Bevo Bucks online at the What I Owe page.

  3. Visit the ITS Computer Account Services page.

  4. Add any ITS services that you need. Any associated fees will be debited automatically from your Bevo Bucks account (with the exception of Resnet, which is billed to the What I Owe page).

Note: You will be able to print as long as you have sufficient funds in your Bevo Bucks account to do so. If you don't have enough money in your Bevo Bucks account to cover charges for a print job, you will see an error message. To enable printing, simply add more funds to your Bevo Bucks account.

Faculty, Staff, and Retirees

Note: If your department is paying for your ITS services, refer to Departmental Accounts.

To obtain a personal account and set it up to pay ITS services:

  1. Visit the IT Prepaid Account page and create a prepaid account.

  2. Add funds to your prepaid account.

  3. Visit the ITS Computer Account Services page.

  4. Add any ITS services that you need or want. Any associated fees will be debited automatically from your prepaid account (with the exception of Resnet, which is billed to the What I Owe page).
